What is Hula Hoop?

Over the last decade, the hula hoop has found itself rediscovered as a dancing partner, performance art, meditation tool, and exercise device. "Hooping" was your favorite childhood activity and can be your today’s fitness success.

This 30 minute class is set to current and classic dance music that will inspire you to move your hips. The class alternates aerobic exercises, using flowing upper and lower body movements, with traditional hula-hooping, and then finishes with innovative core exercises. Even Michelle Obama is doing it!!!!!!

Hooping can spice up your fitness routine because it has so benefits. It's great cardiovascular exercise; it strengthens the core, tones the waist, arms, and legs, enhances spinal flexibility, and improves coordination.

Hula Hoop is taught on Thursdays at 12:30pm in Brookline (30 minute class).
