Phyllis believes in core strength and good posture for promoting muscle tone. She developed this philosophy back in 2002 after suffering from a slow recovering ankle sprain. The injury not only interfered with her workouts, but it also affected her mental well-being and she knew she needed to change her approach to exercise.

She replaced lifting heavy weights with full body, light weight workouts incorporating high repetitions and core strengthening techniques. Her new philosophy quickly became very popular with her clients, making her one of the most successful trainers at Healthworks.
